When Jess, the Perpetual Hostess, asked me to help with her birthday party earlier this month, I knew I was in for a good time. Jess loves bringing people together and it showed in every facet of this shindig. We started with her winter party inspiration and focused on making things beautiful and fun.
Jess loved these calligraphy signs so we used their templates to create the ‘little eats’ and ‘little treats’ signage. I used those templates as a reference to create the ‘#happybirthday’ that hung over the fringey streamer backdrop. She served simple yet delicious appetizers, several homemade desserts and the Blackberry Sparkler as a signature cocktail (based on this recipe minus the thyme). I created curly ribbon cocktail stirrers based on these and pop rocks were given as favors.
I had such a blast helping make Jess’ birthday come to life. She’s a gem with a great group of friends and I was honored to hang with them for a night. See more photos and details over on Jess’ blog. While you’re there, creep around for great hosting tips and tricks.
Hashtag Happy Birthday.
